Say “No!” to sweets, once in a while. Yes, sugar is good for energy, happiness and indulgence. But, when you are trying to lose weight or at least maintain it, while also leading a healthy lifestyle, you need to add some changes to it. Of all the diets I’ve personally tried, none has proven most successful than the “no sugar” diet.

When it comes to dietary foods, the idea is not to starve Healthy Lifestyleyourself until the counter reaches zero, nor to stay locked in a closet so that you won’t touch any forbidden foods… like sweets; but, to consider moderation. What I’ve learned so far, is that if you want to achieve long term results, you need to make long term changes. It is all about the commitment to a healthier lifestyle. So, why not start with one quick and healthy breakfast, every morning, forever? For that, I recommend one yummy Greek yogurt with a mix of freshly grinded seeds.

  • Greek yogurt is a quick choice for a healthy breakfast, because all you have to do is buy it. Compared to a regular yogurt, Greek yogurt is strained off the whey three times instead of twice, which makes it higher in fiber and protein. It is also a good source of calcium for healthy bones, and probiotics for the normal functioning of your bowel system. A 2% fat option is a fine choice in all dietary plans.
  • Flaxseeds are the master source of dietary soluble fiber, in what concerns me; not to mention the intake of alfa linoleic acid (good fatty acids), with heart healthy effects. As small as they are, as powerful they can be when it comes to improving your digestive system and energy levels throughout the day. RDA: 1-2 tablespoons.
  • Sesame seeds are high in vitamins, minerals, fiber and good fatty acids, which contribute to accelerated fat burn, inhibit sweets cravings and provide you with energy throughout the day. RDA: 2-3 tablespoons.

Add 1-2 grinded tbsp of each of the seeds in your favorite Greek yogurt, mix them up and you’re good to go. Feel free to add other types of seeds that you are fond of, as there is no rule to what you can add in the Greek yogurt. Try it out and you’ll see it’s not that difficult. The same as you put on cream or after shave every morning, in order to treat your skin, you might as well adopt a quick and healthy breakfast, in order to treat your body.
